The Klean Kanteen Classic Stainless Steel water bottle was a green product that we stumbled on in around 2006 when I was studying Midwifery and about to be pregnant with our first child. I began exploring and developing my understanding about chemical exposures and heard about this bottle that was taking off among our friends in US communities, a high quality stainless steel bottle and a company that was changing the culture around single use products.
The Klean Kanteen Classic bottle was made from high quality 18/8 stainless steel and didn't have a lining; which many other options did at that time. It also had a handy 4.4cm wide opening at the top that made it easy to clean as well as to fit ice inside. Over time Klean Kanteen worked to improve the sipping cap for the bottle and expanded their range to include insulated stainless steel bottles and a variety of Klean Kanteen replacement cap options too.
We couldn't get enough of these bottles then or now and are pleased to say that we are still using many of those original bottles we purchased and sold before Klean Kanteen found a distributor here in Australia. The Klean Kanteen Classic bottle continues to be a frontrunner in terms of quality, eco friendly reusable water bottles and this single wall water bottle is well loved. It is improving as time passes with the new low footprint 'Klean Coat' offering 4x durability over previous painted finishes with it's powder coated colour application in both matte and gloss versions. The matte colours in this edition are Lemon Curry, Sierra Sunset , Shale Black and Winter Plum.
